The second annual International Hip Hop Activism Conference will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the Vallecito Room at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive. A free show with Gift of Gab and Wake Self will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Discussions, presentations and workshops will explore hip-hop activism and the relationship between hip-hop culture and social justice. The event is an all-volunteer, nonfunded effort, although donations are welcomed.
