Historian to talk about Animas City

To kick off Animas Museum’s special commemorations in 2026, local historian Robert McDaniel will discuss Animas City’s start 150 years ago at 1 p.m. Jan. 10.

His talk, “Railhead Animas City: To Be or Not To Be,” will bust some myths about early Animas City and Durango. There is no charge for this hybrid event, which will be recorded. Watch live at the Museum at 3065 West Second Ave., or on Zoom.
