It gave the Skyhawks a two-match winning streak since they dropped their first of the season against Western State on Friday in Gunnison.
“This is a difficult conference,” FLC head coach Damian Clarke said. “Any points you can get in the (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) you are happy about.”
FLC (8-1, 4-1 RMAC) picked up its sixth clean sheet of the season and first since its five-game shutout streak ended.
Adams State (3-2-3, 0-1-3 RMAC) had tied its previous three matches against Western State, Metro State and Regis before losing to the Skyhawks.
FLC, which slipped from fifth to 14th in this week’s national rankings, returns home for its next match against Colorado Christian on Friday at Dirks Field.
