HomesFund, a local mortgage lender, will hold home-buyer education classes Sept. 22 at Fort Lewis College in Durango and Oct. 4 at Bayfield Town Hall in Bayfield.

Topics include: budgeting and debt; credit; insurance; lending; real estate; and home maintenance and energy efficiency. According to a news release from HomesFund, participants will gain access to its down payment assistance funds and learn how one-on-one pre-purchase counseling can help with home ownership.
