Liza Tregillus will talk about the new Home Share Project at the Rotary Club of Durango meeting, which will be held at 6 p.m. at Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.
Tregillus is a volunteer with the Community Health Action Coalition, which has been working on loneliness as a public health issue for five years. This year, CHAC initiated a new solution for problems of housing and loneliness in the community. Southwest Home Share will help homeowners and home seekers find each other by using an app similar to a dating app.
A social worker and play therapist, Tregillus practiced for more than 10 years in Chicago before moving to Durango where she was the regional social worker at the San Juan Basin Health Department for 22 years.
