I am kind of fed up with the homeless situation in this town. At 5:30 on a recent morning, I get a text from my roommate who had just left for work, saying there was a shivering homeless man who just woke up outside our door. Now, I feel bad for these people but this doesn’t give me an easy feeling opening the door and seeing a strange person there.
Walking through the parks and having them beg is another issue I have encountered. I walk to work every day. I haven’t heard of any robberies or murders, but who’s to say that this couldn’t happen here? I just feel that this town has a problem and that I’ve never seen a town of this size with this many homeless. I’m just concerned for the people who actually make a living here.
