For three years, veterans buried at Bayfield Cemetery have not been honored during the holidays as they are in other local cemeteries. I have taken on the National Wreaths Across America duties (as seen at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.) for the veterans laid to rest in Bayfield.
This Dec. 13, wreaths will be placed on their graves. Volunteers from Vallecito, Forest Lakes and Bayfield will join us, along with wonderful support from Steven Long, a Bayfield High School teacher, and some of his students; Megan Canterbury and her terrific scout troop; and the VFW.
Any group or organization is welcome to participate at 9 a.m. Dec. 13 – all ages included. Thank you.
