Sandra Lee, winner of the women’s snowshoe division, sprints down Hesperus ski hill Saturday afternoon in an uphill ski and snowshoe race. The race was held by Ski Hesperus and Pine Needle Mountaineering to generate local interest to uphill winter sports. The race is an estimated 1.5 miles of packed, powder and groomed snow, half of which is uphill and the other half is downhill.
