The Durango Photography Club will host a presentation with Amy K. Wendland about how to take winning photographs from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Pine Room at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave. A social gathering will start at 6:40 p.m.

Wendland is one of the jurors in the annual photography competition at the La Plata County Fair and a professor in the Art & Design Department at Fort Lewis College. She is also a working artist in sculpture and on paper.

For image sharing and discussion after the presentation, area photographers at all levels are invited to bring up to three of their recent photographs on a thumb drive.
