Ballots for the April 4 city of Durango election were mailed Friday, and residents should receive them early this week. But it could take a week for them to arrive, Deputy City Clerk Chris Harlow said.
Ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. April 4, and can be mailed in or dropped off at two locations: The Durango city clerk’s office inside City Hall, 949 East Second Ave., or at the 24-hour drop box at the La Plata County clerk’s office, 98 Everett St., Suite C.
Remember to place your ballot in the secrecy sleeve provided and to sign it.
Walk-in voting will start Monday at the Durango city clerk’s office. The polling place will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every business day until Election Day.
On April 4, the city clerk’s office will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
