La Plata County Humane Society and pranaDOGS will host weekly basic manners dog training classes at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturdays at La Plata County Humane Society, 1111 South Camino del Rio.
Focusing on improving communication between dogs and their families, these classes cover the basic top 10 behaviors all dogs need to know and cover many typical problem solving issues.
The level one class at 11 a.m. is for new dogs and families, and the level two class at 1 p.m. is for returning students. All classes are taught by Marcy Eckhardt, certified professional dog trainer and executive director of pranaDOGS Behavior & Rehab Center.
The public is welcome, and the first class is always free. After that, classes are $25 per session or $120 for six weeks. No sign up is necessary.
