Charles Sumner had Abraham Lincoln’s ear about ending slavery. He said that the first thing you look for in a politician is backbone. The second thing you look for is backbone. The third thing you look for is backbone.
It is clear in the voting record of Rep. Jeff Hurd that he does not qualify to represent us in Congress. I believe he knows that he was not looking out for the best interests of the residents of CD 3 when he voted to cut SNAP benefits from the most vulnerable of our citizens. He was not looking out for CD3 when he voted to cut Medicaid benefits from some workers. He was not representing us when he voted to give the vulgar pig in the White House a tax break.
Speaking of that guy, I think of a famous quote which I will pervert here. “Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what you can do for him.”
