For some reason, the Durango Herald has completely neglected the fact that I am on the ballot for U.S. representative in our district. I know they are aware of it as they interviewed me early on.
My family and my husband’s family has lived in Durango a long time. The owners of the Durango Herald know who we are.
I am running as an independent because I am totally fed up with the insidious hostility of both major parties. Very little is getting done in Congress with all the feces running downhill. I chose not to take any PAC or out of state money and I haven’t. In fact, I haven’t taken any money from anyone, putting my own money where my mouth is.
It hasn’t been easy. Therefore you haven’t seen full-page ads, TV commercials or a sign every block. I focus on the positive, not the negative. I call it like I see it.
If you are still undecided and haven’t yet voted, consider me. The only promise I make is I won’t blow smoke up your skirt.
It is going to take something outstanding and out of the normal to bridge the partisan gap. I would truly appreciate being a part of a logical path in Colorado District 3.
