iAM MUSIC will offer a summer songwriting workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at iAM MUSIC, 1315 N. Main Ave., 207.
The workshop will be a one-week, in-depth study of fundamental songwriting techniques focused on composition, rhythm, writing chord progressions and cultivating lyrical content. Students will learn to create material that provides solid foundations for melodies and songwriting forms to develop while exploring the human voice and instruments.
The workshop is open to ages 14 and older. Cost is $150 per student.
