So, I've heard rumblings about relocating the downtown fire station to the old 9-R building.
If the old fire station property does become vacant, I would hope our city planners are looking at this beautiful riverfront site for mixed-use development like riverfront cafes, shops, galleries, maybe a small open-air stage for art/music entertainment, other public venues.
It would be tragic to see another ugly box hotel (sorry, Holiday Inn Express) put next to the river. Anyone with me on this?
