The Ignacio High School boys basketball went on the road to Center High School and came away victorious, 48-27.
Anthony Manzanares finished with 19 points while hitting five 3-pointers in the game. Wyatt Hayes finished with seven points, six rebounds and five assists, but also five turnovers.
As a team, Ignacio turned the ball over 22 times, and shot 9-for-21 at the free-throw line. Ignacio head coach Chris Valdez wasn’t impressed with some of his team’s offensive performances.
“I’m disappointed with how many turnovers we had, we should have played better,” said Valdez. “We have to shoot better at the free-throw line, too. We had some of our best shooters do terrible at the free-throw line.”
