Ignacio girls can’t be slowed in league
Ignacio’s roll through the San Juan Basin League girls basketball schedule continued Friday at home.
The Bobcats (9-3, 5-0 SJBL) dominated the second half to beat Dolores 60-27.
Ellie Seibel finished with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Hilda Garcia finished with 16 points on another strong shooting performance. Miriam Fernandez-Lopez also added 12 rebounds, and the Bobcats controlled the boards.
“The girls are challenging themselves to get better each game. We picked up the intensity and really started to pull away in the second half,” IHS head coach Shane Seibel said.
IHS will have three home games next week, beginning with a clash Tuesday with Mancos.
