The Ignacio 9Health Fair is from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at its new location at Ignacio High school.
Many services will be available this year including:
. blood chemistry work
. oral screening
. breast exams
. hearing test
. diabetic educator available for questions
. Evening Porch representative to discuss assisted living
. health coach available for questions
. home health information
To save time, participants can register online at www.9healthfair.org. Credit cards are accepted online but not at the fair. If registering online, do so no later than Thursday, April 14.
Fasting is optional but better results can be obtained if you do fast. People with diabetes should not fast. Check with your medical provider for specific recommendations. Drink plenty of water and continue to take prescription medications. Adults must be 18 years or older to participate in the blood work, however there will be some tests available for children and they are welcome to come to the fair.
