Ignacio High School graduated 37 students Saturday during a ceremony at the school. The three salutorians were Quincy Witt, Elizaveta Gearhart and Armando Bogarin.
The Ignacio High School gym was packed with friends and family members of graduates Saturday.
The Ignacio High School class of 2019 received their diplomas Saturday to the sound of raucous applause and confetti cannons.
The 37 graduates were encouraged by science teacher Stephen Morris to pursue careers they find meaningful.
“Working for something that you believe in will fill you with a unique kind of peace,” he said.
He also reminded them that receiving their diplomas does not make them adults. It is the decisions they will make going forward that will lead to that transformation, he said.
“Make sure those decisions lead to making you a better person than you were the day before,” he said.
