Ignacio’s Taste of Christmas starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday, with a parade starting at Ignacio High School, coordinated by the Boys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe.
The parade will be led by Santa Clause and will end at the ELHI Community Center for a tree lighting and holiday events.
Activities include a gingerbread house competition and holiday market with local vendors and artisans. Dancing Spirit Community Arts Center will host its annual Fill Your Bowl fund raiser, with homemade bread and soups available for a donation to the center’s youth art programs.

Holiday events this weekend in Bayfield include the Friends of the Library annual book, bake, and craft sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Pine River Library.
Bayfield’s Old Fashioned Christmas is from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Pine River Senior Center, with visits from Santa, carriage rides, card making, snacks and a Christmas raffle.
