The Ignacio High School football team won more games than it had since 2009 and gave the senior class its first over-.500 season in their careers.
It wasn’t quite enough for a playoff berth, however.
The 6-3 Bobcats weren’t in the bracket when the Class 1A playoff field was revealed Sunday.
Third-seeded Centauri, which will host No. 14 Wray in the first round, and fifth-seeded Monte Vista, which will host Cedaredge, were the automatic qualifiers by finishing first and second in the Southern Peaks League, leaving Ignacio in the pool of potential at-large selections.
