An Ignacio woman was injured Saturday when her motorcycle struck an SUV that turned in front of her in downtown Durango.
The accident occurred at 7 p.m. on College Drive just east of Main Avenue.
Daphnee Washington, 38, was headed east on College Drive when a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Julie Alldredge, 23, from Bloomfield, turned left in front of her to enter an alley.
Three witnesses said Alldredge cut sharply in front of Washington’s 2006 Harley-Davidson, Durango police Sgt. Don Cummings said.
Washington’s motorcycle landed on top of her, Cummings said. She was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released, said David Bruzzese, spokesman at the hospital.
Alldredge was cited for turning in front of oncoming traffic, Cummings said. There is a required court appearance, Cummings said.
