Ignacio School District seeks school directors

The Ignacio School District is seeking nominations of candidates for school directors to be placed on the ballot for the regular biennial school election to be held Nov. 5.

At this election, three directors will be elected for a term of office of four years. To qualify, a candidate must have been a registered elector of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election. A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child.

To apply, file a written notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 25 eligible electors. Nomination petitions may be obtained from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday through Aug. 30 at the Ignacio School District Administration Office, 455 Becker Street.

Deliver completed petitions to the Ignacio School District Administration Office no later than 3 p.m. Aug. 30.
