Ignacio Wrestling Association, a nonprofit organization started to promote Ignacio Wrestling and the surrounding communities, announces its merger with the community's traveling tournament Pee Wee program as of Sept. 1.
The meetings and membership are open to anyone who would like to attend as well as participate in activities. The association's mission is to help wrestlers from Pee Wee to adult to become a better and more competitive athlete; as well as instill values, respect, sportsmanship and an understanding of community involvement, work ethic and self-esteem. Volunteers are available to help with fundraisers, travel to non-school sanctioned events and provide additional coaching.
The money raised by the association is available for scholarships, travel, equipment as well as other needs deemed appropriate by the association.
