Only four matches were wrestled Thursday night between Dolores and Ignacio, and the Bobcats won three.
Ignacio won the dual-meet 45-18 with several of the 14 weight classes having to be forfeited.
Coming away with wins for the Bobcats were Stocker Robbins at 113 pounds, Ethan Appenzeller at 138 pounds and Timmy Plehinger at 152 pounds.
“Overall, I wish we would’ve had a few more matches, but you do the best you can with what you’ve got,” IHS head coach Jordan Larsen said. “The matches we did wrestle, everyone went out and wrestled tough. It took a bit to get woken up but, after that, we wrestled smart.”
Robbins won a tough match against another ranked opponent in a 9-2 decision.
Appenzeller and Plehinger both pinned their opponents to win via fall.
The Bobcats will hit the road again Saturday to compete in the Piedra Vista Invitational tournament in Farmington.
