After four consecutive losses to start the season, including a trio of consecutive shutouts, the Ignacio High School volleyball team defeated Mancos 3-2 on Tuesday night for its first victory of the season.
Ignacio lost a 3-2 decision to Kirtland Central in its season opener, then lost back-to-back-to-back 3-0 results to Dove Creek, Telluride and Norwood, the latter two the Bobcats’ home openers last weekend.
Ignacio beat Mancos in five – 26-24, 16-25, 25-22, 22-25, 16-14.
IHS (1-4) next will play at Ridgway at 4 p.m. Friday.
