After reading up and watching videos on their website (durangofirerescue.org), I will be happy to support our Durango Fire Protection District with a “yes” vote on the November ballot.
My dad and uncle are enduring the fires in Sonoma County, California, and I have been very comforted to know that they have been taken very good care of by their fire protection district, mobilized emergency service providers and volunteers, amid the devastation.
I want to help ensure that when we have another large-scale incident in our community – or even when multiple incidents are occurring during the same time period (which is happening more and more with our population increasing) – DFPD’s services, equipment and emergency response time will be the very best they can be.
We all expect our emergency service providers to be there when we need them. Let’s help them help us.
