The election is over. The inauguration is over. The marches and rallies are over, for now.
But is there more we can do? Yes. Now is the time to get back to work. Now is the time for a “call to action.”
We are Indivisible Durango, a group of progressive women with a few good men. What is a call to action? It is an email that goes out to our members asking them to call our members of congress on an issue that is pressing. The specifics are given in the email, of course.
We laugh when the phone lines are jammed. We cheer when the issues move our way. The call could also be an email that organizes a visit to a member of Congress’ office. It could be that someone running for higher office would like to meet with us, and we get to ask questions that are on our minds.
Yes, it is time to get to work. A call to action is right now. We, Indivisible Durango, have more than 260 members and we welcome more help calling, visiting and keeping the issues in front of our Congressional members.
We cannot stop, will not stop, and will not even slow down. We need your help! Will you respond?
