Local advocacy group Indivisible Durango will hold a screening of the documentary “Equal Means Equal” at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The film documents the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the state ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, and focuses on areas of discrimination, including the law; pregnancy and wage discrimination; domestic violence; foster care and child sex trafficking; female poverty and incarceration; and rape and sexual assault.
The event is free and open to all.
