San Juan Basin Health has an important reminder about health insurance availability. Most former customers of Colorado HealthOp can still enroll in new health insurance with a different company, but only through Feb. 29. The enrollment process can take as little as 30 minutes and financial assistance may still be available. Tax penalties for 2016 filing may be avoided if enrollment is completed by Feb. 29.
The Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment period ended Jan. 31, but for those who lost Colorado HealthOP, the deadline has been extended.
