Contemporary quilt artist and instructor Pat Pauly of Rochester, New York, will visit Durango to teach a three-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 8-10 at Stitch quilt and sewing boutique, 153 E. 15th St.
The class, “Improv Design: Start small, finish large,” is open to all levels of experience. Beginning with small sketches, exercises in composition and working without a pattern, participants will later dive into composing a large piece using improvisational methods of construction.
This workshop will provide a foundation in design, as well as sharpening skills in creating abstractly. The workshop fee of $349 and will include lunch each day.
