Introductory human trafficking training to be held in April

Sexual Assault Services Organization will host an introductory human trafficking training from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12 at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

This training was developed by the Colorado Human Trafficking Council and will teach participants to:

Identify signs of human trafficking.Understand different types of human trafficking.Support victims of human trafficking.Spread awareness in communities.In the law enforcement specific training, participants will learn:

Common indicators of human trafficking.Colorado’s human trafficking statues.Key elements of a victim-centered human trafficking investigation.Core evidence in human trafficking cases.This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. RSVP at https://bit.ly/2GQFUGy.
