Investigation underway in Cortez

The cause of the early-morning fire Sunday that burned three businesses in downtown Cortez remains under investigation by the Cortez Fire Department’s arson investigator and Cortez Police Department detectives. Cortez Fire Chief Jeff Vandevoorde said, “It doesn’t look suspicious, but the cause remains undetermined at this time.”
