A couple of inches here or there and the Bayfield High School boys soccer team may have picked up its first win of the season against Ridgway.
The Wolverines (0-7, 0-5 3A Region 5) hit the frame of the goal five times in a 3-1 loss to the Demons (4-2, 4-2 Region 5) on Friday afternoon at Wolverine Country Stadium in Bayfield.
Freshman midfielder Finlay Marshall scored Bayfield’s third goal of the season in the defeat.
Details of Ridgway’s goal-scorers weren’t immediately available.
BHS will host Telluride at 11 a.m. Saturday.
