In 1966, those of us who graduated high school had one thing on our minds: Am I going to get drafted into the Vietnam War? For those of us who could not afford college, it was a very real question.
So I ask: Are students talking about war today – at the high school level or in college? Are they discussing it in history class, or do they really not care? We are spending $1 billion a day, and over a dozen American service members have died and approximately 140 have been wounded so far.
I would just like to know.
