I have a 24-foot travel trailer that we use during the summer. Otherwise, it is in storage. It is fully registered, and I pay my taxes, some of which go to city streets.
We usually bring it home at the beginning of summer, de-winterize and service it, load it for a trip, and may be gone for several days or occasionally longer. Returning home, I park it in front of my home. It is not blocking mailboxes or any driveways, while I get it cleaned up and prepped for the next trip.
I have made sure the neighbors have no problems with it, and I have never had a complaint. Now the city wants me to move it back to storage, which takes three to six hours, and I’ll have to leave it there for a few days before I can get it and haul it back home to prepare for the next trip.
Meanwhile, I can park my vehicle, registered and taxes paid, as long as I want in the exact location. Is this not discrimination?
