Do you think the current administration in Washington, D.C., is out of control? If so, please read on. Amendment XX limits the terms of Executive Branch officials, namely the president and vice president, to a maximum of eight years. This is a welcome relief for those who believe the current administration is operating outside its constitutional limitations.
Do you think there should be limits on terms for the Legislative Branch, namely members of Congress? Do you think congressional spending is misguided? If you believe our current Congress is filled with more career politicians than statesmen, then please consider the possibility of amending the Constitution to include term limits for members of Congress.
Article V of the U.S. Constitution, gives “We the People” a means of proposing amendments, like Amendment XX. If you support the idea of limiting congressional terms, as we have presidential terms, please consider adding your signature to the Convention of States petition.
You can find out more and submit your signature at https://conventionofstates.com/. Do you think the U.S. Congress would ever submit an amendment proposal to limit its own terms?
