Pagosa Springs is among 64 cities in the running for Outside Magazine’s online competition to choose the Best Town in America.
In the bracket-type competition, Pagosa is up against Ogden, Utah. As of noon Monday, Pagosa led Ogden 656-297. The voting for each round lasts five days, until the ultimate champion is chosen.
Glenwood Springs is the only other Colorado town involved, although Four Corners town Flagstaff, Arizona, is in the running as is Santa Fe.
In a news release Monday, Outside said it is looking for “the kind of place with top-notch restaurants, vibrant farmers’ markets, friendly neighborhoods, and unparalleled access to hiking and biking trails. In short, the perfect jumping-off point for adventure.”
Durango lost to Anchorage, Alaska, in the second round of last year’s Best Town bracket. It defeated Mammoth Lakes, California, in the first round.
You can vote on each matchup once per round.
