The malevolence sweeping the power structures in this country is allowing people to be the very worst versions of themselves. Nothing manifests the belief more than watching how Donald Trump actually governs.
Like when he announces that he will be accepting a $400 million 747-800 from the Qatari government, a $100,000/month client of Attorney General Bondi serving as the government’s lobbyist. How many times has he manipulated the stock market since assuming office? Then there is the back door influence using crypto. Unlimited amounts of foreign graft appear to be flowing into his pocket through meme coins. The presidency as a money-making endeavor clearly cannot be beaten for time or effort. All exercises in “owning the libs.”
It certainly makes one pause and wonders what has happened when a national news organization asks Republican senators for comment on the president saying he doesn’t have to uphold the Constitution and not one, not one, is willing to comment.
And elsewhere ICE agents, faces obscured to incite terror, seek out and detain people without giving any thought to the rights they are entitled to under the same constitution. Is this the nation that we were taught about in school where we were all supposed to be equal under the law?
And Congress? Happily obliging the machinations of fascism. It seems the direction Republican members of Congress are leaning. Moreover, enough impeachable offenses have been committed to not only justify those articles already brought, but there should be near-universal support for a third impeachment to commence.
