J. Paul Brown ridiculing serious science

I’ll admit it wasn’t until recently that I caught up on state Rep. J. Paul Brown’s ridiculing serious climate science this past spring in front of the Legislature (Herald, May 4). He even went so far as to suggest the malicious comedy “Climate Hustle” as though all this manmade global warming is a joke. I found it offensive and unbefitting a forward-looking representative of the people.

I looked up Brown’s official blog to read details of his reasoning. I find not a word about global warming, climate science or the future. Considering he’s running for re-election, voters get to ask him for an explanation.

Does he believe more than a century’s worth of serious scientific study by experts from around the world can be dismissed with jokes and then ignored as though it doesn’t matter? He should explain.
