J. Paul Brown to bring prosperity, jobs

In his letter (Herald, Oct. 3), Werner Heiber blasts J. Paul Brown for his voting record and praises Mike McLachlan. Voting records are important. McLachlan voted five times to limit our gun rights, voted to raise your electric bills and even voted to tell you what kind of toilet you must buy in Colorado, along with many more laws that increase the intrusion of government in our lives. J. Paul, on the other hand, voted against bills that were unneeded and wasteful because the issues were already in state law, even if he was the only one in the Legislature to do so.

He had the guts to say that bear-hunting seasons should be managed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and not by some inflexible law. While on the legislative Capital Development Committee, J. Paul helped to keep funding for Berndt Hall at Fort Lewis College on the priority list.

McLachlan had nothing to do with it. J. Paul is endorsed by Colorado Association of Commerce & Industry (the Colorado Chamber of Commerce), the Colorado Medical Society and Colorado Ski Country USA, among many other pro-jobs organizations. McLachlan isn’t telling who is endorsing him. I wonder why? If you want a tax, spend, regulate, big government legislator, vote for Mike McLachlan. If you want limited government and more jobs and prosperity, vote for J. Paul Brown.
