Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been targeting and apprehending valued members of our community.
A year after Bayfield resident Edin Ramos was separated from his family and deported to Honduras, ICE agents are still hard at work, targeting businesses, residences, schools and court in attempts to deport more people.
Community members are organizing in response. For the past few weeks, dedicated members have risen early and hit the streets, taking posts at targeted locations. Though ICE apprehensions have continued, we have had a deterrent effect. We are calling on the greater community to join us.
