Join us to support our firefighting crews

Please come out and join us to show your support for the amazing job these firefighting teams are doing for our community. Evacuees and Durango residents are meeting every morning by Miller Middle School to cheer on the troops as they head up Junction Creek at 7 a.m. and again in the evenings at 7 p.m.

Make a sign, wear a fire hat, bring pom-poms or just come ready to wave and cheer to demonstrate our heartfelt appreciation for the incredibly difficult and exhausting work they are doing to keep the 416 Fire out of Durango. We’ve received a lot of feedback saying how much this kind of support means to the firefighting crews.

A sign on a fence below Miller reads, “Superheroes don’t wear capes. They wear boots!” Hope to see you in the morning!
