The United States and the rest of the world are currently engaged in a war with COVID-19. Although we have won some battles with the disease, we are facing yet another battle with the omicron mutation.
The COVID-19 mutations are occurring as a result of too many unvaccinated individuals becoming infected and passing the COVID-19 virus to others, increasing the chances of further mutations and prolonging this crisis.
If you see this as truly a war on COVID-19, perhaps it may be easier to understand why everyone should choose to be vaccinated.
My family and many other American families have fought in every war for generations. These veterans willingly risked their lives and gave years of their lives for service to their fellow Americans.
Most veterans will agree with me that when the actual fighting took place, we were not fighting for politicians or even for our country. We fought for our comrades, friends, neighbors and families. What kept us fighting rather than running from battle was not wanting to let our fellow warriors down.
In our war on COVID-19, some have actively participated and become vaccinated, but others unsure of the need to go to war have not done so.
Now is the time for all Americans to join the war on COVID-19. Please join the war with the rest of us and get vaccinated.
Please don’t run from the war on COVID-19 any longer, because we need your help desperately.
