Jon Betz named director of the San Juan College Health and Human Performance Center

Jon Betz has been named the new director of the San Juan College Health and Human Performance Center. Betz will begin this role May 1 or later, dependent on when the college is able to reopen the facility.

Betz has been a member of the San Juan College team for 18 years, where he currently is serving as the Senior Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management. Formerly he served as Director of Admissions and Records, Director of the HHPC, and Coordinator of Facilities and Operations at HHPC. He has been an active member on many teams and committees through the years and is most proud of his accomplishments in establishing the use of electronic document imaging in the Office of Admissions, continued growth of the Dual Credit program and ongoing improvements to enhance the graduation ceremony.

Betz holds a bachelor of business administration from New Mexico State University. He earned a master’s in business administration from New Mexico Highlands University. He graduated from Lovington High School in Lovington, New Mexico. He was a certified PGA Golf Professional from 1992 to 2002.
