Tuesdays, 2 p.m.: Baby Storytime. For infants to 18 months. Music, stories, fingerplays, counting rhymes and playtime. Babies should bring their parents or caregivers to join in the fun.

June 4, 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.: Summer Reading Show: Rocky Mountain Puppets. Rocky Mountain Puppets will present an out of this world puppet show full of ventriloquism and laughs. This event is free and open to the public.

June 5, 6 p.m.: Great Garden Series: Good Bugs versus Bad Bugs. Join Kami Larson for an evening discussion about bugs in your garden and learn the difference between garden helpers and harmful pests.
June 6, 1 p.m.: T(w)een Time: Pizza Box Solar Ovens. Trap heat from the sun to cook s’mores in a self-constructed solar oven. We will provide materials for you to build your own solar oven. Materials are limited to only make 20 ovens, but there will be food for all. Ages 11-17.

June 19, 6 p.m.: Great Garden Series: Revolutionize your landscape and hydrate your land. Despite being fully legal in the state of Colorado, small-scale passive rainwater harvesting earthworks and rain gardens are underusedin our area. Join Eva Montane and learn all the ways to passively capture and collect monsoon rainwater.
June 20, 1 p.m.: T(w)een Time: Fizzy Bottle Rockets. Compete to see who can create the biggest chemical reaction and make the highest flying bottle rocket. Experiment with various sized bottles, hot, cold and warm water, and different amounts of Alka Seltzer tablets. Prizes for the highest flying rockets, and snacks for all. Ages 11-17.

June 4, 5:30 p.m.: Container Gardening Class. Darrin Parmenter from the Colorado State University’s Extension Office for La Plata County will demonstrate how to garden using containers. No advanced registration is required, and there is no fee to attend this class.
June 5, 10 a.m.: Summer Reading Kickoff Party. Kick off summer 2019 with us at our summer reading, “A Universe of Stories” party. Blast off and get ready for space by training like an astronaut. Stay for a free BBQ lunch.
June 8, 3 p.m.: Hawaiian Hula Dance Demonstration. Hula dancers from the Ananda Foley Studio in Durango will perform for the ICL. The group will also give a presentation about aspects of Hawaiian culture that pertain to their dances, and attendees may also learn some basic dance moves.
