As a longtime Durango resident, I have seen our community change, grow, flourish and falter.
On behalf of my family, friends and everyone I know, I would like to thank the Katz family for their incredible vision and generosity (Herald, Aug. 3).
It is a rare and beautiful thing when people of means and good fortune choose the greater good over greed; we are all so fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors.
