After scrimmaging Western State on Wednesday at Dirks Field, new head coach Jimmy Hall and the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks will scrimmage their alumnae at 1 p.m. Saturday at home before welcoming home Hall’s predecessor, Damian Clarke, for their regular-season opener. Colorado Mesa, Midwestern State and Texas Woman’s will be in Durango for the Fort Lewis Women’s Soccer Classic. FLC will open its regular season against Texas Woman’s at 3 p.m. Sept. 4, then Hall and FLC will host Clarke and Midwestern State at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at Dirks Field.
Courtney Riley used teammate Alex Arellano’s arm as a slingshot to reach an incoming header during Wednesday’s scrimmage against Western State at Dirks Field on the Fort Lewis College campus. Arellano, Riley and the Skyhawks will play one final exhibition – their alumnae game at 1 p.m. Saturday – before hosting the Fort Lewis Woman’s Soccer Classic on Sept. 4-6 at Dirks Field.
