Durango Fire and Rescue and Durango Police Department will offer a “show-and-tell” for kids, with tours of emergency vehicles and information about jobs, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 20 in the parking lot adjacent to Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
The event is free and open to kids of all ages.
Donations of new children’s books will be collected during the event to benefit the Volunteers of America community shelter and Southwest Safehouse.
