BHS will host Dolores next week
Bayfield scored six points in the first quarter, but it was all Kirtland Central from there in both teams’ season openers.
Kirtland Central scored seven in the first, seven in the second, led 14-6 at the half, then finished off the Wolverines with another 14 points in the second half for a 28-6 victory Friday night in Kirtland, N.M.
No statistics were available from Friday night’s game.
Bayfield (0-1) will host Dolores in its home opener next week.
Kirtland Central (1-0) will remain at home to host Durango (1-0), which defeated Cheyenne Mountain in its home and season opener 54-14.
